Leiter Family Foundation

The Leiter Family Foundation was established in 1999 to support community based non-profit organizations dedicated to preservation of habitat and environmental education.  Grants range from $2,000 to  $10,000.  Applications will be accepted twice yearly:

Preliminary letters by May 1 and November 1.

Full proposals by May 15 and November 15.

Funding decisions will be made in July and January.

Preferences will be given to community based, collaborative, and coalition projects involving a number of organizations working together to share strengths and to maximize effectiveness. In general, grants will not be given to established well-funded national organizations. Capital funding will usually not be considered. Non U.S. based organizations are fully eligible for granting.

Application forms can be requested from leiterfamily@email.com
