The Leiter Family Foundation was established in 1999 by Elliot and Renee Leiter to support community based non-profit organizations dedicated to preservation habitat and environmental education.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS JUNE 1, DECEMBER 1

Notifications made by end of July/end of January

PREFERENCES will be given to community based, collaborative and coalition projects involving two or more organizations working together to maximize effectiveness

RESTRICTIONS In general, grants will not be given to established, well funded national organizations. Capital funding usually not considered. Non US organizations also eligible.
